Taste the Burren Food Trail Series:

Herb Walk with Frisky the Burren Goat Saturday 3 June 2017 at 2pm €20 per person

Burren Nature Sanctuary is a proud member of the Burren Ecotourism Network and Burren Food Trail.  As part of the Burren Food Trail Taste the Burren Series we will have a Herb Walk with Frisky the Burren Goat on Saturday 3 June 2017.

Event Details:

Enjoy a walk along the Burren Nature Sanctuary trail led by Frisky the Burren goat.  See what wild plans are in season as we attempt to identify they herbs Frisky likes to graze on such as wood sage, sorrel, wild thyme and chickweed.  As we stroll through the hazel woodland, around the wildflower meadow and up the boreen, we share stories of traditional recipes and remedies from hedgerow herbs.  Rest in the hand crafted shelters along the walk and listen to the bird song.

At the Botany Bubble get hands on making a wild herb pesto to enjoy with with freshly baked savoury scones served with a seaweed salad garnish and local Burren Gold cheese.

€20 per person Book tickets
